rV Meets DCS on Phu Bai Valley |
|
First match carried out on the Vietnam maps.
Nothing to lose and everything to gain.
If this is a good match, who knows what might happen to the ladder.
Match report by Hitman...
Not much practice was had for our first vietnam cq match but it panned out to be one of our closest matches yet.
Round 1- Both teams obviously had the same idea to get to B, rV. capped A dcs held C, this is where most of the match took place. Finally dcs broke through to hold A and B for the last 10 minutes finishing up with 3 tickets.
dcs 3-0
Round 2- Same deal again there was a huge and constant push for B different points were capped and lost for both teams but finally after much huey spam and some really annoying mines from dcs, rV held onto 45 tickets
rV 45-3
Much respect to dcs for an awesome match, you guys just kept coming, and you really had us sweating from start to finish. I look forward to our next match.
GG both teams
Players were rV.-Dragz,Ayum,Moridin,Griffo,Spyside,Cwestin,Greenhorn,Hitman
dcs-Aussie,nutoi,chief,orb,fourrunner,termite,dealtdeath,killerduck.
Well done everyone, DCS and rV.

rV meets AEF Devils Brigade |
|
AEF Devils Brigade challenged Ravenous on Arica tonight.
Nothing unusual about that except I put it down as a scrim and told everyone that if they couldnt play well we could just scrounge some fill ins and do our best.
But Adsa reminded us that it was in fact a ladder match so the whole complexion changed.
Now we had too few players and didnt look like getting enough for the night.
But we did and it was a great game from both teams.
Unfortunaletly AEF were the team that played short in spite of us giving them Adsa, who was promptly discarded.
I think they said "rather play short than have Adsa...", or something like that...or was that us...
Anyway AEF took the US side and headed down the hill, rV the russkies and headed to our points.
A and C were capped as expected and B became a focal point for control.
rV held it for a long time but the ever persisitent AEF team kept pressure on it and siezed control several times.
They then used flanking tactics coming off the mountains or from the beach to steal A.
Being a man short though meant we could then take the open point at C and put pressure at the points they had to try to hold.
This tactic continued for the round and eventually, just consolidating the positions of A & B rV. saw the bleed take over and took round one 110-0.
The second round we did not relax or think for a minute that this was a good enough score.
We have seen bleeds suck a 100 pts in the blink of an eye, so it was no time to relax.
So we pushed as hard as we could again to get C and B.
bxpressiv took the quad along the beach and snuck into A to give AEF something else to think about.
So early on we had 3 bases and that hurt AEF a little I think.
They continuously kept getting into B and while we had to defend that they would slide into C.
Time and again we would find a squad spawning behind us.
It took its toll on the bleed because without the rezzing going on, the tickets were not being recovered.
It gives the illusion of an easier round and it makes the score look better for the winners but the game was still a hard fought affair.
Round 2 ended with rV ahead 201-0.
The final score 311 - 0.
Great game from AEF.
Thanks for the challenge and sorry that you only had 7.
You never let up for a minute and did not make it easy at all.
Look forward to more games during the season.
Players for AEF were: Badze, XMadMarkX, MAL1K, NASA, C.J.S, .KABLE & Bitemetosser.
Well done rV lads, firstly for showing up in the last minutes.
Threatened with a cyclone all day, the chances were there that at least another 3 would not make it.
Then to put together our first win for season 2.
Players for rV were: hitmanb, bxpressiv, CWestin, Griffo, Adsa, ThE ChaZAnaToR, Ayum & Pinge. | |

Rav meets Apex on Atacama. |
|
great match on Atacama desert tonight from everyone.
The Apex chopper was absolutely murdering us but the rest of the game was very even.
They won the first round because we couldnt keep that chopper in check.
They bled down the tickets and got kills beyond what was reasonable.
The next round though was a little different.
Moving around from point to point and keeping out of the way was a good response to their chopper destruction.
Apex played a good game, but so did the rV boys.
Proud of the effort tonight.
Well done everyone.
Score was 1-120 (Apex) | |
